Here are developments of my designs where i move on from my artists style and try import my own style. Taking into account of what ive researched and learnt, shapes, texture, text and photos will be included. i want to still try and keep the foundations of my artists style such as, krugers use of bold colours and saul bass’ shapes. This is all building up to my final outcome! My approach to designing is very minimalistic, and i want to try keep a contemporary approach within the appearance of my designs. within all my designs i like to keep reference to my own existence, so i imported my birth year of 1993, as well as my name and my actual birth date of ‘0317’. This was influenced by saul bass’ implements of having his well known work in some of his designs such as the jagged arm and of course his, name as well as his birth and death year that was in one of his pieces. Keeping it very simple, i included edgy shapes just to keep the whole design looking urban and contemporary which was developed from bass’ use of shapes. Aklso, in terms of using typography i like to keep a relationship with my viewers by havign a more friendly tone, show a sense of engagement by having some play on words such as the design below of ‘a shoe?! wheres the other one?!’ and ‘are you hungry?’ I like to have imports of lines within my pieces aswell just to give it an extra touch if im stuck of having ideas whgilst creating. I atempted to use a variety of colours that i find bold in order to have an attractive and eye-catching approach towards promoting my designs to the audience however i did experimented on using a not so bold colour in the ’ are these your house keys’ design. Im not really satisfied about that design as i think the use of colour doesnt really emphasise the coomposition at all, giving it a dull and boring way of looking at it. What i do like about it and the other pieces is the thought of actually positiong every detailed designs that you see within the work.
